The way Shastic integrates with Symitar platforms is by using a reggen/PowerOn. Specifically, a repgen connectivity with Symitar Episys allows functionality into the core without having to connect directly. In a few simple steps:
- Shastic provides your organization with a repgen/PowerOn.
- You are free to modify this repgen/PowerOn based on its requirements and Shastic can also help with any changes needed.
- You then install the repgen/PowerOn within the structure and protection of its core system.
The regpgen/PowerOn is configured to execute every night to generate a letter file (csv file) within a secure shared location inside your premises. Shastic is then granted restricted access to download the file from this secure shared location via secure File Transfer Protocol (FTP). Shastic will not have direct connectivity to your core system.
Your organization can easily apply this strategy to all types of use cases including collections, Gap insurance cross-selling, alerts, storing conversations in Epysis, etc. These changes are made within the structure and protection of the core system without disrupting the core code.
This is an easy process and it's the way most technology vendors integrate with Symitar.
