Your users have the option to send a text message directly to the Elle phone number assigned to your organization. This is a second opt-in option for users in addition to the Elle pop-up window opt-in process.
In these cases, the text message will get recorded in the Elle Conversations Dashboard. You will know when this occurs because there will be no recorded Journey on the Dashboard.
Also, the user will not receive an Elle welcome message as it didn't follow the Elle Pop-Up / Opt-In process.
For opt-in best practices, Shastic suggests organizations send a predefined disclaimer message to formally Opt-In for record-keeping purposes:
"Hello, I’m (agent name) with (organization name), to successfully subscribe to messages and agree to be contacted by (organization name) please reply START."
This process flow ensures that you are in compliance with TCPA rules and regulations for opt-in consent and text messaging communication with your organization.
