Overview
Elle Journeys are designed to help start a text message conversation from any page on your website or mobile banking. These journeys include three paths: Apply Now, Chat with Us, and New Membership.
Installing an Elle journey to Mobile Banking is simple. The Elle integration leverages Mobile Web Views to allow you to easily place new menu items across your mobile apps' menu section that link to Mobile-Responsive landing pages. This is a seamless integration benefits your organization in two ways:
- By leveraging Mobile Web View technology, we eliminate the need and cost to perform a technical integration.
- Elle can be easily launched within your existing mobile apps by performing a quick configuration update that does not require your institution to re-deploy all your mobile apps to their respective app stores in order to add Elle.
Getting Started
To get started, follow the steps below:
Step 1. Have your Financial Organization create mobile-responsive landing page(s).
Create one or several mobile-responsive landing pages. The number of landing pages depends on the SMS journeys (Apply Now, Chat with Us, and New Membership) you make available to your mobile banking users. These pages will form the basis for your Mobile integration.
Once your landing page(s) are ready, you will then make them Elle-ready with a simple copy/paste of the Elle script and Elle button code.
Step 2. Add Elle Script and Elle Button(s) code to each landing page.
You can find instructions for adding the Elle script here. Add this code to the top of each landing page.
Next, add the Elle button(s) to each landing page by copy/pasting the HTML code. You can find instructions for adding the code to each Elle button journey below:
Please note: In the Elle Button HTML code, you will replace Elle-button-id
with the button ID that you receive from Shastic. The button codes will be provided to you by a member of the Shastic Customer Success team during your implementation.
Step 3. Make your landing page(s) live and create a unique URL for each.
Once your Mobile-Responsive web page(s) are ready, host it on your site. The best way to do this is to set each landing page as an 'orphan page'. This way, the page is accessible only through the URL of the page.
Step 4. Submit the landing page(s) URL(s) to your mobile vendor.
Deliver the web page URL links to them, this needs to include:
The URL link to your landing page(s), which should include the buttons you want to use (linked to the endpoint you want to use).
Examples:
Credit Card | https://organization.com/elle/apply |
Vehicle Loan | https://organization.com/elle/apply |
Personal Loan | https://organization.com/elle/apply |
Mortgage Loan | https://organization.com/elle/mortgage |
Contact your Implementation Manager to discuss the specifics of how and where you want this to be placed.
Once placed, your members just need to click on one of the buttons to opt-in and start texting your institution!
Step 5. Test for a smooth Member experience with mobile text messaging.
As soon as Elle is integrated, it should be available to your members. Test it and let us know about any necessary adjustments. In no time, you will have the ability to engage with your members by SMS!
