If the code looks right, but Elle is still not working, you'll want to check the Network and Console tabs in your Google Chrome inspector. To find out how to open the inspector, go to the article:
Step 1: Open the Inspector
Right-click on the section you want to examine (your Elle button for example
Step 2: Open the 'Console Tab'
Click on the 'Console' tab to the right of the 'Elements tab'.
The above image is an example of a working Elle button. The console will only display errors. The Elle button is selected and no errors appear.
Step 3: Click on the Element you Want to Examine
By clicking on an element (the Elle button for example) you will be able to see if it is causing any errors. The errors will appear in red like the image above. If the Elle button is having an error like this, check your HTML code and if you can't see a problem, contact your Account Manager at Shastic.
Step 4: What if it is not creating an error but still not working?
If you are not receiving an error message and yet the Elle buttons are not working, you'll want to check your Elle button codes to make sure they are correct. To do this, in the Filter area, type in "elle" as demonstrated below.
In the console itself, being to type "elle". As you do that, several elle related items will come up: select the one that says "elle_button.CUSTOM.modals". By clicking on this, you'll see a list of the active Elle button IDs. Match the button ID's to the ones provided during your onboarding. If they don't match, then most likely the Org ID in your head code is wrong. See this guide for help correcting that:
If you need to get your Org ID, please contact your Account Manager.
If they match, and Elle is still not working, call your Account Manager.
